My Bio
Who am I?
Well, my name is Vicky Guile (pronounced as in 'file' but with a hard g - not as in 'gool', 'goolie' or 'goo-ilay' ) and I've always loved art, design and crafts for as long as I can remember.
What do I do?
I create one of a kind (OOAK) original food and fantasy dolls house miniatures. Mainly working in 1:12 (or 1 inch) scale with polymer clay as my main medium. With each piece of miniature food I try my very best to achieve as much a lifelike appearance as possible… not always that easy when working on a tiny scale… but its fun trying! My miniatures are often inspired by the books that I read or movies that I have seen, but I do try to inject as much as my own working style into the creation of each one.
What do I like?
Other than polymer clay? Running, reading, writing, photography, gardening, knitting, cooking and learning from all of the previous. Oh and Orangina, coffee and good chocolate.

Back to School Blues

Well that's it, the summer break is over and my boys are back at school :(
On the upside, I say trying to stay positive like a good friend of mine advised, it will leave me a bit more time during the day to work on my miniatures.
At the moment on my desk I have beefsteak tomatoes and strawberries, quite a few strawberries have landed on the floor, rolled under the chest of drawers, and are now never to be seen again. The ones that have survived I think are an improvement on what I've previously made :)
I can't seem to find sleep tonight so think I'll work until the small hours
back with more photos asap and hopefully will have my blog up

It`s taken two whole days of trials, errors and sheer frustration but I think I've nailed miniature courgettes. Right now they are having their final session in the mini oven and hopefully I'll get to take photos tomorrow ;)
