1:12 scale string of red onions, measures 49mm (1.9inches) from the tip of the tiny hanging thread to the tail of the braid.
I'm having a real hard time picking a favorite, lol.... i absolutely LOVE these...they would be phenominal as earrings! you have a beautiful talent, bravo!!
Stringing onions together was for me the absolute hardest part. Very impressive work.
These look so realistic!
I want to eat em
OH MY GOSH, how do you get all the tiny lines in them?
I make a block of striped clay, purple and then thinner lines of darker purple, cut in half, stack the halves on top of each other, reduce height and repeat until the striped lines are really fine. Then cut very thin slices of the striped clay and wrap around a cylinder of base clay making an onion log. pinch together one end drawing the stripes to a point (top of onion) then slice off roughly one onions length after the gathered end, do the same with the cut end drawing the stripes together at the bottom of the onion and hey presto... one stripy red onion. It's not as complicated as it sounds
Oh, I love the color and texture on the skins! Guaranteed no tears when peeling!
